Modern, Minimal Shower Screens Without the Frame
Frameless shower screens use thick toughened glass panels held in place by wall-mounted clamps and hinges with no aluminium framing around the glass edges. The result is a clean, open bathroom aesthetic with maximum light and minimal visual bulk.
Every frameless screen from Ready Glaze is made to measure using 10mm toughened safety glass compliant with AS/NZS 2208. Panels are custom cut to your exact opening dimensions and supplied with your choice of hardware finish — chrome, matte black, brushed nickel, satin chrome or gunmetal.
Frameless screens are best suited to modern bathrooms, walk-in showers, corner enclosures and bath screen applications. They work particularly well where feature tile work is visible and you want the glass to disappear rather than dominate the space. The seamless design also means fewer surfaces where soap, moisture and grime can accumulate, making them easier to clean and maintain than framed alternatives.
Clamp and hinge hardware is fixed directly into the wall substrate — not just into tile. Stabilising bars are available for wider openings. Bottom channels and seals complete the waterproofing.
Measurement Guidance
Measure the width at the top and bottom of the opening and the height from the hob to the desired screen height. Frameless screens require precise measurements — allow no more than 2–3mm tolerance. Note the door swing direction and any obstructions such as taps, shower heads or niches. Include a photo or sketch with your quote request if unsure.

Frameless Shower Screens FAQs
Common questions about our frameless shower screens
What is a frameless shower screen?
A frameless shower screen is a glass panel held by clamps and hinges with no aluminium frame around the edges. It provides a clean, minimal look with maximum transparency.
We specify toughened safety glass and hardware to suit your opening, with clear documentation for wet-area use where AS/NZS 2208 applies.
What thickness glass is used?
Ready Glaze frameless shower screens use 10 mm toughened safety glass compliant with AS/NZS 2208.
Glass grade and thickness are matched to your layout and hardware package so the screen performs correctly for door swing, panel spans, and inspection requirements.
Can I install a frameless shower screen myself?
Yes. Many of our customers are DIY installers. We supply all hardware and provide measurement and installation guidance.
Accurate measurements are essential as tolerances are tight. If you are unsure about fixings or hinge alignment, include photos with your quote request and we will flag anything that needs a qualified installer on site.
What hardware finishes are available?
Chrome, matte black, brushed nickel, satin chrome and gunmetal across clamps, hinges, handles and stabilising bars.
Finishes are nominated to align with your tapware where possible. Your itemised quote lists every component supplied for your job so there are no surprises on site.
How do I measure for a frameless shower screen?
Measure the width at the top and bottom of the opening and the height from the hob to the desired screen height. Check walls and hob are level.
Submit measurements through our quote form — add a few photos or a simple sketch if it helps, and we will confirm critical details before glass is processed.
